Terms of Service

1. Overview

Minivo is an application that allows users to save articles by sharing links, automatically parse and store article content on our servers, generate summaries using external AI models, and provide text and audio versions of summaries. These Terms govern your use of the application and the services we provide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the application. If you are under 18 years old, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account Registration and Authentication

Minivo provides authentication through

  • Google account (Firebase Authentication)
  • Facebook account
  • Sign in with Apple

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not liable for unauthorized access caused by your actions or third-party breaches outside our control.

4. How Minivo Works

When you share or paste a link into Minivo

  1. The link is sent to our server.
  2. We check whether an article with this URL already exists in our database.
  3. If it exists, previously generated data is returned to you.
  4. If it does not exist, our server attempts to parse the article.
  5. If parsing succeeds, the original article text is stored and displayed in the "Original" tab.
  6. We then send the article text to the OpenAI API to generate a summary.
  7. The summary is saved on the server and displayed in the "Summary" tab.
  8. We then send the summary text to third-party AI text-to-speech services to generate audio.

If successful, the user receives

  • the original article text (subject to processing limits)
  • a summary text
  • an audio file of the summary

Content Processing and Limits

To ensure efficient processing, Minivo applies technical limits to the length of input text.

  • Free Plan Processes up to approximately 30,000 characters per article.
  • Paid Plans (Pro/Max) Process up to approximately 80,000 characters per article.

If you submit text exceeding these limits, Minivo will automatically truncate the input and generate a summary based on the processed portion. By using the Service, you acknowledge that summaries for extremely long texts may be based on partial content.

Usage Limits

  • Free Plan Up to 3 articles per day.
  • Pro Plan Up to 20 articles per day.
  • Pro Max Plan Up to 50 articles per day.

Unused daily limits do not roll over to the next day.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload, share, or submit links to content that

  • is illegal
  • contains child sexual material
  • contains explicit sexual content
  • incites violence or terrorism
  • promotes hate, harassment, or discrimination
  • infringes copyright or intellectual property rights
  • contains malware, spyware, or harmful code
  • is designed to bypass paywalls or digital rights management
  • includes personal confidential information of others without consent

We reserve the right to block or remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

5.1 Fair Use and Anti-Scraping

Minivo is intended for human use. You agree not to

  • Use automated scripts, bots, spiders, or scrapers to access the Service or submit articles.
  • Share your account credentials with multiple individuals to bypass daily limits.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the API or bypass usage limits.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.

6. Content Ownership and Data Usage

Users retain ownership of the original content they submit through links. You grant Minivo a limited license to store, process, analyze, and generate summaries from the content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your articles or summaries with third parties except our trusted AI service providers solely for the purpose of processing and generating content.

Marketing and Analytics: To support our growth, we use industry-standard tools, including the Facebook SDK (Pixel), to track pseudonymized event data such as app installs and high-level events (e.g., subscription purchases). If you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on iOS, we may use your advertising identifier to optimize our marketing campaigns. We do not share the content of your saved articles or summaries with any advertising partners.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Minivo application, code, design, algorithms, and brand materials belong to Anastasia Svorob. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal use.

8. Payment, Free Trial, and Subscriptions

Minivo offers various access tiers, which may include

  • Free Plan (Limited features and quotas)
  • Paid Subscriptions (Pro, Pro Max, or other tiers with increased limits)
  • A 7-day free trial period (if applicable)

Subscriptions are managed and billed through Apple.

  • Payments are charged to your Apple ID account.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple account settings.
  • We do not issue refunds directly; all refund requests must follow Apple's policies.

9. Termination and Account Deletion

You may request account and data deletion at any time by contacting helpminivo@gmail.com. Upon request, we will permanently delete

  • your account information
  • all saved article URLs
  • all article texts
  • all summaries
  • all audio files

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

10. DISCLAIMERS

MINIVO IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DISCLAIMER THE SUMMARIES AND AUDIO CONTENT ARE GENERATED BY THIRD-PARTY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI). AI SYSTEMS MAY OCCASIONALLY PRODUCE INCORRECT, MISLEADING, OR BIASED INFORMATION ("HALLUCINATIONS").

VERIFICATION YOU SHOULD ALWAYS VERIFY CRITICAL INFORMATION WITH THE ORIGINAL SOURCE TEXT. MINIVO ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR INACCURACIES IN THE AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE THE SERVICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, OR PROFESSIONAL SAFETY ADVICE. YOU USE THE APPLICATION AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW

  • MINIVO IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
  • MINIVO IS NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PREVIOUS THREE MONTHS.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

THESE TERMS ARE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE, USA. ANY DISPUTE SHALL BE RESOLVED THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION IN DELAWARE.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA regarding the "sharing" of your advertising identifiers for cross-contextual behavioral advertising, including the right to opt-out of such sharing. You can manage your tracking preferences at any time via your device settings or the in-app privacy menu.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify users within the application. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
